Application

CO2 fire extinguishers (CFE) are intended for smothering air-fed fires, in particular:

• Flammable liquids (В),
• Flammable gas (C),
• Electrical equipment (Е).

CO2 fire extinguishers may be applied for putting out fires occurred at live electrical equipment, electric power rail transport, flammable material storage facilities, archives, museums, offices and houses. These fire extinguishers are charged with carbon dioxide that does not cause any damages or leave any traces.

These fire extinguishers are not intended for smothering fires caused by:

• Solid flammable agents (combustion class А)
• Air non-feedable agents (D),
• Over 10 kV live electrical equipment

Our company, Yarpozhinvest LLC’s authorized representative, offers a full line of original CO2 fire extinguishers:

• Portable CO2 fire extinguishers (GOST R 51057-2001) charged with 1 to 7 kg agent:  CFE (ОУ)-1 CFE-2 CFE-3 CFE-4,  CFE-5 CFE-6,
• Mobile CO2 fire extinguishers (GOST Р 51017-2009) charged with 10 to 55 kg agent:  CFE (ОУ)-7,  CFE-10 CFE-15 CFE-20 CFE-25,  CFE-55.

Sea and river boats are equipped with our CO2 fire extinguishers (CFE-2, CFE-3, CFE-5) duly certified and validated by the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.

 

CO2 Fire Extinguisher Delivery Set

Fire extinguishers depend on the dimension type are fitted with a respective fire extinguishing agent feeding device:

• funnel with a discharge tube;
• hose with a funnel  (0.4m);
• hose with a funnel  (1.0m);
• 2 hoses with funnels  (1.0m);
• 2 hoses with funnels   (3.0m);
• 2 hoses with funnels  (3.0m);

Quality and Certificates

Yarpozhinvest LLC is one of few Russian companies holding a full package of process gas cylinder manufacture licensing documentation. All CO2 fire extinguishers are made of domestic cylinder units certified by respective documents.

 

A registration certificate is provided for every CO2 fire extinguisher product.

 

 

Service Life and Recharging Period

CO2 fire extinguishers, if annually tested for agent weight, have a 5 year service life till recharging. Fire extinguishers should be recharged and serviced at least once every 5 years. A CO2 fire extinguisher cylinder should be hydrostatically pressure tested and verified at intervals not exceeding 10 years.

Important Information

• Indelible marking is printed around the top of the CO2 fire extinguisher cylinder by the electrographic method. Such marking contains the following data: manufacturer’s trade mark, cylinder ID, month and year of production, month and year of testing; cylinder capacity, weight, operating pressure, test pressure, QC unit. The marking details are regulated by  security regulations (SR) 03-576-03 (Section 4.9)
• Cylinder and locking device net weight (without a fire extinguishing agent) is printed on the locking device. The locking device is secured with a lead seal. The lead seal contains the details of its ID and date in the month-year format (FIRE PREVENTION RULES, Section 477 as amended on 17.02.2014).
• In addition to the data listed in GOST, a fire extinguisher ID is printed on a label. Date of production (handwriting is allowed) is specified at the label bottom.

When using CO2 fire extinguishers the following precautions should be observed:

• When extinguishing electric fire, a funnel  should be held at the distance of at least 1 m;
• Avoid direct contact with a fire extinguisher funnel  (-70°С);
• On using a CO2 fire extinguisher, thoroughly ventilate a space.
