Underground Fire Hydrants

It is no easy matter to install or use any fire plugs on the ground in the extreme environmental conditions of the Russian Federation. That is why fire hydrants are extensively used in a number of different-depth wells.

We offer fire hydrants manufactured by Kommunalnik Gomel Plant JSC, one of the largest Belarus factory, for those to buy these products. While operating as a general dealer of the above company, RUSARSENAL R&M Co supplies to the market the complete range of high-quality and cost saving fire plugs from a competitive and safe Belarus manufacturer.

Hydrants are produced in compliance with the requirements set out in GOST R 53961-2010. Though an internal diameter of DN100 is duly stated by the above GOST, we, as opposed to some suppliers, continue supplying DN 125 fire hydrants since they are the most suitable for our water mains.

As for climatic design to GOST 15150, a fire hydrant may be used in category 5 environment conditions (code “У”) and it is intended for operating at the ambient temperature of minus 5 to 35°С and at relative 100% air humidity at 25 °С.

Advantages of our hydrants:

• Threaded valve and fitting sections are made of bronze (grade Br 05Ц 5С5 as per GOST 613) that prevents any corrosion in hydrant parts so that a hydrant valve or actuator is capable to resist to at least 3x103 kgf axial loads.
• A valve ring is made of high-grade cold-resistant rubber (as per GOST 7338) that ensures hydrant long service life and reliability.
• Valve seat tightness is provided by anticorrosive ZINOL sealant (zinc-based sealant).
• A hydrant spindle is made of 30X13 grade stainless steel as per GOST 5632.
• Stainless steel hydrants manufactured by Kommunalnik Gomel Plant JSC have suitable mounting characteristics since their weight is 30% less than that of any cast-iron equivalents produced by other manufacturers. And as compared to cast-iron products, steel hydrants are featured with the perfect transportation and load safety.
• Hydrant fabrication and design methods are developed on a permanent basis. High-quality materials only (including bronze and brass) are utilized by the manufacturer.

Service Life

Hydrants have a 36 month warranty life. Hydrants service life is 18 year provided that the product is used according to the requirements.

Doroshevsky System Above-Ground Fire Hydrant

Doroshevsky system hydrants are intended for withdrawing water from above-ground mains. Such hydrants must be installed under cover to ensure proper performance at low temperatures. Hydrant housing is welded to the water main pipeline.
