Fire points
To locate primary fire extinguishing equipment, non-motorized tools and fire extinguishing accessories in production and warehouse premises not equipped with an internal fire extinguishing water supply pipeline and automatic fire extinguishing installations, as well as in the territory of enterprises (entities) not possessing an external water supply line, or when removing buildings (structures) and external technological installations of these enterprises are brought to the distance more than 100 m from external fire extinguishing water sources, fire points shall be equipped.
Fire points are made of wood or thin rolled steel sheet. There are two types: open and closed. The standard set of a fire point includes a crowbar, salvage hook, spade and two cone buckets. By a customer’s wish, the fire point may be additionally equipped with fire extinguishers. The necessary quantity of fire points and their types are determined depending on the category of premises, buildings (structures) and external technological installations per explosion-fire and fire hazard, the maximum area protected by one fire point and the class of fire. The temperature regime of fire points operation: from + 5 tо + 45°С at air RH 90%. On-site mounting of fire points is performed according to civil engineering standards and regulations. Fire points are allowed to be transported by any roofed transport. Temperature regime of transportation and storage: from −40 tо +45°С. Average service life: about 3 years.
Quality and certificates
In accordance with Ordinance of RF Gosstandard (Russian State Authority for standards) dd. July 30, 2002, fire points are not covered by the nomenclature of products subject to mandatory certification in the RF GOST system.
