A leak-proof pressure fire hose with a latex-impregnated carcass has been designed as an alternative to high-value  rubber latex line hose products. A finished hose with an internal leak-proof tube is treated by means of special sealant for obtaining additional fire and abrasion resistance properties. Its carcass impregnated with natural rubber latex (IC) improves hose resistance, flexibility and mold resistance. With the material resistance rated against specific exposure effects, the RUSARSENAL’s latex-impregnated hose products are to be classified as wear- and oil-resistant items (resistance code “ИМ” - WOR). As for climatic design to GOST (interstate standard)  15150, a latex line hose may be used in moderate and cold category 1 environment conditions  (code “УХЛ1” -MCC 1) (-60С - +50С).

• This kind of hose exhibits high mold resistance; it is not degradable in wet conditions;

Product Range

Latex-impregnated hoses are manufactured with a 19 to 150 mm internal diameter. Such hoses may be used for pumping water and aqueous foaming agents delivered to a seat of fire by means of mobile fire engines. They are  indispensable for the motor pumps assembly and outdoor fire hydrants, if additional requirements are imposed on operating conditions.

 

Today, RUSARSENAL R&M Co manufactures "Latex Type" hoses with the following internal diameters:

• 50 mm — РПМ(П)-50-1,6-ИМ-УХЛ1 - FHE(IC)- 50-1,6-(WOR)- MCC1
• 65 mm — РПМ(П)-65-1,6-ИМ-УХЛ1 - FHE(IC)- 65-1,6-(WOR)- MCC1
• 80 mm — РПМ(П)-80-1,6-ИМ-УХЛ1 - FHE(IC)- 80-1,6-(WOR)- MCC1

On customer demand, hoses may be fitted with hose couplings. As for hoses with internal diameter 50 and 65 mm, they may be optionally fitted with couplings and hand nozzles РС-50.01 and РС-70.01 (HN-50.01 and HN-70.01), respectively. Hoses are to be connected to fire couplings and hand nozzles and braced with 1.6 mm galvanized wire that should meet the requirements set out in GOST (interstate standard)  792.

Marking

Subject to GOST (interstate standard)  51049-2008, a hose unit should be properly marked for its identification. Latex hoses are marked at the distance of maximum 0.5 m from the both ends. The following marking information should be provided:

• Technical regulation compliance mark,
• Manufacturer’s name or trade mark,
• Hose reference designation (РПМ(П)-Ду-1,6-ИМ-УХЛ1 - FHE(IC)-D-1,6-WOR- MCC1,
• Hose length in meters (20+/-1),
• Manufacturing date (month, year),
• Additional details (shift number, QC unit code).

Additionally, the following marking information is to be provided at 4 meter distance off one of the hose ends:

• Manufacturer’s name or trade mark
• Manufacturing date

Delivery Set

The delivery set includes:

• Rolled-up and tied-up hose
• Logbook as per GOST (interstate standard)  2.601-2013

Quality and Certificates

RUSARSENAL latex hoses meet GOST R 51049-2008 and fire safety technical regulations (123-FA dated 22.07.2008 and 117-FA dated 10.07.2012); this product had been tested throughout all design and manufacturing stages (Report No. 383/2ТР-2012 dated 25.12.2012), as well as duly certified in accordance with the applicable procedure (Test Certificate No. 880/2ТР-2013 and 883/2ТР-2013 dated 01.02.2013, Fire Extinguisher Test Laboratory, Academy of State Fire-Fighting Service  MES of Russia, N ТРПБ.RU.ИН03 dated 23.12.2011). Hose "Latex Type"  manufacturing process satisfies to the requirements set out in Technical Regulation 8193-031-85787444-2012. Commercial production.

 

Important Information

"Latex -impregnated Type"  hose color is red like that of  rubber latex hose since it is manufactured at the same line as the latter hose. Actually, this hose may optionally have another color and its performance is not affected. Such hoses do not require coating with talc powder.
